Why design volume and purchase volume differ

Compacted base volume describes the finished layer: footprint multiplied by compacted depth. Purchase volume adds the allowance you select for compaction, handling, grading, and field loss. Supplier density or bag yield is never silently assumed; enter the current local product value when you need tons, kilograms, or bags.

Drainage and excavation are planning checks
